Friends, love, babies…a fabulous February!
An amethyst, which is the purple stone, is the birthstone of February.
Say I Do Bridal Expo
Saturday night’s bridal expo, hosted by Say I Do Bridal, of Starke, Florida, was a success!
I had a great time, and I always love the hustle and bustle of runway shows. The models were sporting Suzann’s designers, and my jewelry.
I met some great girls. I look forward to the bridal Jewelry that I’m creating for a location wedding in June.
Thanks to everyone who came out!
Hola
The Trunk Show last night at Rhonda’s went well. I make different things specifically for each show, mostly one-of-a-kind pieces for every show that I do. I don’t tend to make the same stuff every time, it’s usually first design pieces.
Looking forward to the Cafe Eleven Trunk show next week…already making some more specialty pieces tailored for the event. Can’t Wait!
Lori, from Suitcase just sold this blue Sunshine Stone piece. It’s a very rare color and style….i’ll miss it!!

It’s still hot here in Florida…
Danielle modeled for me on the beach the other night, and I took my little point-and-shoot sony out there and got some great shots!

wrapping up my first newsletter, and about to send it out…really looking forward to the Trunk Show in Tampa.
Had an amazing day yesterday, walking around the ancient streets of St. Augustine on a private tour. I’m really starting to like this beach town…mysterious and pleasant place.

Today is a day of marking items off of the dreaded “TO DO” list. I’m feeling a little overwhelmed with the approaching deadlines of the holiday season. But also looking forward to seeing familiar faces and meeting new people on the upcoming events. Got invited to speak at Altrusa in November, and it happens to fall on the same day as the Cafe Eleven Trunk Show. So that will be a fun day. Right now, I’m just finishing up my new press kit, which is something to send to boutiques and such to let them know who I am, what I’m designing, and hopefully they like what they see and want to put it in their shop.
I’m taking a look at Willow Boutiqe today, a very cute and inventive boutique here in town. I think my stuff might be a perfect fit.
Designing a black leather, pearl, gold necklace for Liz. I’m really excited about that, she has a great imagination, and I love helping make her ideas tangible.
Other than that, I’m really working on finishing up making up all the designs I worked on this summer, and making those Tangible! I need to really amp up my inventory for this fall/winter, and I am excited about the opportunities ahead.

I love Mondays…no seriously, I do!
Waking up to a fresh start on a new week.
It inspires me to be outside, wether it be under oak trees on the river or in the sun and saltwater. There’s just something about nature that really gets me. Artists need nature.
My fall jewelry collection is definitely inspired my surroundings.
Much like the transcendentalist philosophy espoused by the 19th century writers, Ralph Waldo, (ya’ll know him), Henry David Thoreau, who believed religion and truth are found in Nature. Like Ansel Adams, and his contemporaries.
Adams said, Natural Wonders have been approached with a reverential lens. He hoped the grandeur of the natural world would encourage others to find their place in nature.
Like the natural materials used in the jewelry I make. How can you top the beauty of nature? but only to bring attention to it.
Enjoy your Monday, and spend a little time in nature…before or after you work in an office all day!

Things to think about on a timely Tuesday:
Labor Day in my dad’s studio, while he cooks on the “Baby-Babylon” a huge hand-built rusty, steel-barreled-bottom barBQ grill. Ribs and Pork Roast…sorry for you vegetarians!
Here’s what was going down in le ol shoppe:

cleaning coral...and very serious about it! I like how my Corona made the picture. Hey! It was Labor Day...I had to celebrate somehow!
Most red coral you see is dyed coral. Here are some re-claimed pieces that I am cleaning to bring out their natural color. These are going to be part of the Mediterranean Collection, a Limited Edition Collection. These little guys are really rare, and I wasn’t expecting to come across them in my rock-hunting adventures, but I got lucky! I only have about 13 pieces. So a very limited collection they will be.
